Rock Solid Fishing Vessels

Fish aboard our OBX Fishing boats: the Rock Solid, the Carolina Blue, or the Southern Run for light tackle Outer Banks charter fishing on the OBX of North Carolina. We customize trips for families as well as the experienced angler. Everyone is welcome!  Our captains try to ensure your trip will be fun, memorable and best fishing under the conditions we are given.  We'll get you hooked up!

The Rock Solid is a 35' center console inboard diesel.  The power plant is a 450 Cummins diesel C series.  By choice, this was and has been the motor Capt Kelly has enjoyed for its simplicity and reliability.  It has a full tower to the washboards and a nice high elevated platform to accommodate his sight fishing addictions!  The Rock Solid also has a 8ft by 8ft hardtop with curtains to hide under in case of the random summer rain storm.  Live wells and a ginormous fish box/casting deck would make any meat hog happy when this is full.  A bottom machine and plotter are located both up on the tower and downstairs on the center console.  A VHF radio, fire extinguisher, life jackets, throw ring, an EPIRB or Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon used to alert search and rescue services in the

event of an emergency (some boats unfortunately do not carry these), and flares help to ensure safety.  We are fully licensed by the United States Coast Guard, insured, and carry all necessary permits and blanket fishing licenses for the boat.

Rock Solid Fishing is a member of the Raymarine Prostaff and carries current, nice electronics.  We have Bluetooth Fusion Marine stereo for your listening enjoyment.  We are equipped with custom rods by Nick Walke and custom tackle by MeatHog Fishing.  We are also a member of the Diawa Prostaff and we carry top of the line Saltiga Z and Saltists spinning reels.  When the fish of your life is on the line, the best equipment can’t help but lean the odds in your favor!

Come by and see the catches from the Rock Solid daily, located at the world famous Oregon Inlet Fishing Center!

The Carolina Blue is a wide, spacious 25 foot Carolina style center console.  She is stable with wide, high sides and a V shaped hull which helps cut through waves and get you into the ocean.  She has a nice tower, perfect for sight casting!  A 225 Honda four stroke outboard with a hydraulic scissor bracket jacks her up to help in shallow water fishing.  A live well, spacious fish box and plenty of storage are additional perks.
