Great outer banks fall fishing!

We got em! Tom and his dad came out . Fished all day and into the evening! We landed four nice cobia and some hard fighting amberjack during the day time. Wind breezes up hard and pushed us in. Then the evening trip. The Coleman crew went drum fishing with me. Slow start but then as the nasty weather came in and evening came along they went to chewing! Puppy drum in the 25-30 inch range. The Mrs Coleman had the pleasure of beating a 44lb redfish on ten pound power pro! Kinda cool this family got spooled by a big red fishing live hogfish on a bobber on an evening trip probably ten years ago. We always talked about that big one that got away so it was fitting and rewarding they got another shot! Oh but don’t let me fail to mention the following day,, whump whump whump. No reds no cobia just tons of hungry bluefish! What a difference a day makes!
